Probably a distal fibula fracture and a medial malleolus fracture (Bi-Malleolus Fracture). There is a worse fracture that involves the back of the ankle also, but I don't think his mechanism is consistent with that type of injury. When those bones break, the ligaments over the outside of your ankle get stretched out pretty good but are hard to actually tear. The bones aren't the problem....the ligaments can remain a little "looser" at times and that is more concerning to his general performance this year. I suspect he'll play with a pretty thick ankle brace. I'm also pretty sure that every time Taysom adds a brace, he drops a quarter second off his 40 time, so we should be good!!
