It is all about what is injured....ligaments and tendons that deal with stability such as knees have many more unknowns on return of 100% health or full ROM. His was a break with some subsequent ligament damage NOT dealing significantly with a stabilizer at the point of injury. Much easier to heal with no worries of ROM (range of motion) My guess is he was 100% in spring and had full clearance for all activity BUT as a disclaimer he needed to build back up strength before doing football activity to avoid a compensation injury. So all in all I'm on board with the process & fully confident that he's been 100% for quite some time. And yes i'm a doctor.
