I've said before on this board that the Chargers (and I believe the Chiefs before them) let Schottenheimer go on the theory he could only take a team so far. I view them similarly. The problem, in my opinion, is that neither the Chargers nor the Chiefs have been to the promised land without him either, and suffered much worse years in his absence. Bill Cowher also "couldn't win the big one," until he did.
I'm frustrated at some of what I see, too (defensive time outs in the 2nd half kill me), but Michigan was just (a lot) better than we were last Saturday. Factor in fatigue, injuries, etc., and I don't have a set timeline for Bronco's departure. I believe it would get worse before it got better. And for cryin' out loud we beat Nebraska, BSU and nearly UCLA. We don't suck. We just hit the wall. We'll be back.
