Very close to being the same. If you remove Lavell's two top-5 years from the equation they become almost identical.
Based on the past 40 years, going 9-4 or 8-5 or 7-6 is normal for BYU football. We only produce exceptional teams once every 10-15 years, and only when everything lines up perfectly.
