The nice thing is there is a McDonalds, Papa Johns, 7-11, and a convenience store across the street.

Also, don't rent a car. Take a tour group to those places. Then use the very cheap bus system to get around Cancun.

We did the bus and was great, new bus and best of all I slept most of the time.

We used this private rental car company and they were great to work with
