I'm a non member so take this from that view. But I thought I heard members have option (somehow) of saying they don't want any of their tithe to go to BYU. Just strictly church purposes. Either way the interest made on investments made from tithing can be distributed anyway so I guess there's no fool proof way to prevent a ute dollar from ending up in provo
