Right now there's approximately 65 P5 programs and 60 non-P5, with 3 Indy in ND, BYU, and Army.
Everybody in Conf. USA, the MAC and the Sun Belt are insignificant nobody programs that don't belong at the top level of CFB. That's 36 programs right there. Temple and Tulane from the AAC. Wyoming, UNLV, and Hawaii from the MWC. That's about 40 programs that don't belong at the top level.

Now, go take 10 random P5 FBS programs. Look at their OOC schedules. Chances are the have at least one P5 OOC opponent and (dependent upon 8 or 9 Conference games) 2-3 games scheduled against the 40 I suggest get the cut from above, along with a complete bodybag FCS opponent.

If the NCAA maintains the rule that FBS programs can still only schedule one FCS OOC opponent to maintain bowl eligibility, how do you think that will affect BYU's scheduling prospects moving forward?
