My parents live 50-60 miles from the Rose Bowl. He was a UCLA season ticket holder for 35ish years and he finally gave up about 10 years ago because it took the entire day and involved too much stress and frustration along the way.

I grew up in SoCal (and am visiting right now, staring at the ocean as I type). But there are very few places where I'd consider living here, and that's even before you consider the cost of living.
