Our first post-Jimmer team lost to a top-ten Baylor team by three points. The next year, a much lesser team did lose by 21 and by 15 at Iowa State and Baylor, but that wasn't an average BYU team; it was significantly worse than average. The year after that, a better team lost by two to an Iowa State team that won the conference tournament and beat UNC on the way to the Sweet Sixteen.

We'll get blown out occasionally, maybe even once a year on average, but we have shown that we can compete with teams at or close to the top of the Big 12, with a lot fewer ESPN100 players on the roster.
