I shot some Gambles last year. I know there are chukar west of pine valley and I intend to find them this year. Looks like i have to drive a little farther for grouse now but there are blues all over southern utah.

As far as housing, and if you don't mind a little commute, which sounds like you don't if you are considering working in St George and living in hurricane, areas like Dameron and diamond valley, winchester hills, and leeds are a little more rural with bigger lots. May be worth looking into
