the DEs have to do more containing. For pass defense, a 4-3 puts more pressure on the DBs since there is one less LB to drop into coverage. That means the LBs have to cover more ground and the DL needs to put pressure on the Q fast.

Generally, linebackers are less important in the 4-3, and the guy that benefits most is the mlb, as he gets two monsters
