That's not so much where I was going with it. His question about "did it make
Byu more attractive to the Big 12?" Is where I disagree... You're welcome to believe BYU being independent was a big part of making it happen, meanwhile 1 or more AAC schools is about to make it to the big 12 *without being an Independent.
Do you believe byu is less valuable than those prospective AAC schools and needed Independence? I don't. Byu showed its value decades ago.
