I was invited to the BIG rivalry game against Colorado about 3-4 years ago. What
surprised me was the tailgating behavior. We parked several blocks away and walked through group after group of pot smoking, beer guzzling, obnoxious fans. It was one long walk filled with the smells of alcohol, and weed. I guess what shocked me was that I didn't realize the amount of non mormon fans that have adopted the Utes. Once in the stadium, and yes their are still plenty of kids in their even when the Y isn't playing, but on bad calls, there was plenty of F bombs, and profanity. The LDS Ute fans whom I were with just ignored it with their kids.

I think part of the problem now with Rice Eccles, is that this anti-mormon fanbase is taking over as the majority fanbase. LDS standards are kind of laughed at.

It's all fine and dandy, I luckily am not a fan and don't have to sit with those people every week. But I'm surprised the Alufs do. At BYU there are enough Mormons who stand up and squelch profanity laced fans in a heartbeat.
