The Helmand in Baltimore(Afghani food, owner is PM Karzai's brother)

If you are in Baltimore and haven't had crab cakes before, then you should. In the inner harbor area, Phillips is pretty good. There are others that are better, but I was never rich enough while living in Baltimore to afford them.

Baltimore's Little Italy has some really nice places. We would usually just start walking through and find a place without a long waiting list. We were never disappointed.

Finally, the Native American museum as part of the Smithsonian complex has an awesome multi-cultural cafeteria. It isn't fancy, but has a ton of variety and is really good.
