The Barbecue is as good and better than most places outside of Texas. It's as good if not better than all of the Utah barbecue places based on their barbecue and sides. Their brisket is their weakest meat from the perspective that it's really tasty, but not as moist as it should be(still really good) So Bambam's is much better for brisket, but all other meats are better than BamBams and R&R in Utah. Their sides are heads and tails better than just about any place I've been including Texas joints. They have a massive selection of southern home cooking sides including a corn pudding(like creamed corn but better), collard greens with bacon done properly, and mashed sweet potatoes that are incredible.
Outside of Pappy's and Bogarts in St Louis, and a few hole in the wall places throughout Texas I will go to whenever I visit my parents, Hill Country is one of my favorites around the country.
