Metro Denver is very spread out. Anyone with a commute of under 30 minutes is lucky. To get some land as you describe, at any kind of a reasonable price, you will have to commute well over an hour. Prices to the west are higher. Your best bet for cheaper land is southeast (Elizabeth, Kiowa), east along I-70 (Strasburg, Byers), northeast (Brighton) or north along I-25 (Frederick, Firestone).
