The founders didn't have nonpartisan press coverage. You act like there was some magic moment when "unbiased" news dropped as the dew from heaven.

Only as newspapers became more corporate and with the advent of wire services did this push for a more neutral approach take hold. You had a bigger audience if you weren't partisan.

So go ahead and blame CNN or whatever. But their approach is far more neutral than anything Thomas Jefferson would have dealt with.
