and ward campouts where you didn't need to move the car around during the day. We used it for quite a few years and supplemented with a regular tent when our family got bigger. It had a wooden floor and space for 5 or 6 if I remember correctly. I think the newer ones are much lighter and easier to use. I am not sure how practical they would be for a road trip with sightseeing unless they are really easy to setup and take down. Ours was really easy with 2 metal arches that folded up and a metal ridge pole. There was a rope on each end to further anchor it to each bumper.
