I spent about 40 minutes today inspecting that annoying ad. It's a maze of
Iframes. I don't understand how content in an iframe can prevent scrolling of the parent document. I thought that was not allowed. I've removed all scroll event listeners from the window object, but that didn't make a difference. If I drill into the iframes and delete the div wrapping the video, the scrolling behavior disappears. Any other developers have an idea of what might be causing this?

Another annoying aspect of this ad is that it recreates all the ad content when one ad finished and another begins. This means that even if we can find what is causing the scroll jacking (that's what people call this intrusive behavior), whatever script is written to prevent it would have to fire every time the ad reloads.
