You said they should have done "this prep" before their senior year and played
"this way" (whatever that means) before finishing at BYU. That's what I am responding to. I have no issue with the view that more polished college players are more highly valued by the NFL. But to say that players should have been preparing in this manner at BYU and be in this kind of shape and devote this type of time and energy while in school is shortsighted and unrealistic. It's not just a matter of devotion, it's mostly logistics. They can't do this for years on end, especially not while in school.
