Butler reached consecutive title games. What happened there?
It didn't help their conference (the Atlantic 10). Instead, Butler got an invite to join to Big East and they left the Atlantic 10.
I don't expect Gonzaga to leave. But huge success by a team in a small conference could actually hurt the conference, as it did with the Atlantic 10.
