They had the car I wanted but I'll never pay asking price for a used car. I made a counter offer. He said they don't do that because of blah blah. I said really, so if I agree to purchase today (already had my financing) for $1 below asking price he would do it? He said nope. The next day I found the same car just down the road at another place and talked them down $750. It's a very respected and popular vehicle so I felt pretty good about that. I bought it and drove home. If you hate making commission you probably shouldn't​ work in sales.
