What is always missed in these discussions about the prison and now the homeless
shelter proposal is that there aren't even any Draper residents near there. Bluffdale is the one that has the homes next to it. Bluffdale residents are so worked up about this homeless shelter it's actually pretty humorous to me (note that I'm in one of the neighborhoods in Bluffdale that is freaking out). So all this discussion of residents near the prison or fighting this proposal of the homeless shelter just wanting to protect their home values is actually a bogus argument because Draper does whatever it wants and the actual residents affected have no say anyway. For me? I don't really care what they do. None of it has impacted my home value one way or the other.
