JmThms Walk-on
My main problems with hockey are these:
1. Can't see the puck. It's too small and moves too fast.
2. The general play is too fast. Makes it harder to follow.
3. There is too much turnover of possession and too much what I would call sloppiness, chaos and imprecision. More so even than soccer I think. I compare hockey to indoor soccer because I'm very familiar with the latter.
4. The goals are way too small and the goalies with all their padding cover way too much of the goal face. They don't dive acrobatically like in soccer. I think I move about as far as they do reaching for the toilet paper while on the toilet. And of course its hard to really see a shot on goal given the sizes and speed.
5. The fighting. Makes it seem like the old roller derby from the 1970's. Excitement or farce?

Now since I'm not a hockey fan none of this matters. As a soccer fan I'm sensitive to sports bashing and usually stay out of threads like these, but soccer was mentioned with the implication that there is more action in hockey than soccer.
