For three years, Lee has tried to move the Institute
into a merger with the UU Medical center, with the Institute becoming the research arm of the university.
Huntsman and the Institute director have resisted all attempts to merge the two. Lee was Beckerle's boss. She viewed Beckerle's continued resistance as insubordination.
