Children need problem solving skills.
With parents a text or phone call away, not only is that the child's first inclination, the parent ALSO wants to step in and fix things.
If you do it for the child when they are young, and the stakes are low, the child won't learn how to do it as an adult, when the stakes are much, much higher.
