Schools are getting desperate for teachers. I know more than one person right now doing the Alternate path to licensure.
If the school likes her and will work with her, it should be a fairly straightforward process.
(my wife is a teacher)

I imagine they would hire her right away as an "LOA" which stands for Letter of Authorization.
