Perhaps you are correct in regards to his response, but these posts are not so anonymous and could be deposed by attorneys of a business looking to defend their clients name.

Some people on CB are so cavalier and act like they can say whatever they want about whomever the choose. The future will be interesting as more and more companies go after Yelp reviewers or anonymous posters on message boards.

Your email can be traced in many cases back to you. CB won't let you register without one. Most use emails for more then one media account, furthermore my buddy who is a network guy down in AZ, he went over a few things and it will blow your mind how much they know already know about you.
