I can't even begin to fully list all the crazy MLM companies that have approached me with miracle cures for my Crohn's disease. Science and the medical world just don't fully grasp the Gogi berry, essential oils, magnet therapy, himalayan berry juice, and a ton of other supplements and protein drinks that are going to heal me. Lol I have been contacted more on facebook by old ward members, hs friends, and people that I know have no idea what IBD is, but then have the audasity to tell me that the $10,000 a dose med I am getting infused with, has no value and I could be back to my former self by not only using their product, but by signing up in their pyramid scheme too.
Sadly, it is not just me experiencing this. Among my messageboards and fb groups; I see a lot of desperate people fall for it. They are so desperate to get energy and make the chronic pain and symptoms stop; that they will spend money they don't have to try these " miracle cure". I have seen people actually stop using their maintenance medications because of these MLM company products, and then watched their health spiral into emergency situations and a couple deaths. (Bowel perforations and infections) I wish that these companies had to undergo the same testing to prove their claims, that actual pharmaceutical companies are required to. It is dangerous what I am seeing, and they are preying upon those so desperate for relief, that they are easily swayed.
