He was dominating in the USA under 17 qualifying for the world cup scoring 5 goals (3rd overall) so Tab Ramos picks him for the U20 world cup squad and he scored 2 goals in the opening match. This kid is only 16 and he looked really good. I cannot even imagine how good this US U20 team would be if their big stars from the Bundesliga (including Christian Pulisic) were released by their clubs to be on this team. I know there are many who think Sergeant can be the next great striker for the US.

by the way, after trailing 0-2 the US came back to earn a draw against Ecuador in their opening match. Ecuador finished first in their qualifying groups (which included Brazil and Colombia) and 2nd overall in south America.
