I did it once for about 800 miles. It was fine. The moving truck goes pretty
slow anyway, so just plan on lots of time and lots of gas. And take it nice and easy.

I've done it cross-country a couple of times (old navy DITY moves). No problems.

I did it behind a huge U-haul. Only issue was that you can't reverse.

Moved to Nebraska then to Arizona. Towed a car on one of those both times. Easy.

Make sure you cover your windshield. I had cracks from rocks when I did it.
