A buddy from my mission became a teaching pro. He told me once...

when we were golfing that I could take 10 strokes off my handicap if learned how to chip and putt. He never three-putted and was usually up and down when he was off the green or in the sand. The short game isn't exciting, but it's where you save strokes.
