I would prefer contracts with conferences, not teams
The great part of independence is being able to play a variety of teams from around the country. If we have to play a group of teams each year then make it the PAC 12 South and join the conference.
My ideal indy schedule would have ...
1 SEC team
1 Big 12 team
1 ACC team
1 Big 10 team
2-3 PAC 10 teams
2-3 MWC teams
2 AAC teams
Notre Dame
So we would have something like...
LSU
Texas Tech
Virginia
Wisconsin
Arizona St
Utah
Washington St
Boise State
Utah State
Temple
Navy
Notre Dame
