We know Emery, Haws, Bryant (if healthy), Childs, and Seljaas will eat up a good chunk of the minutes. If we can find some sleepers in the next group of 8 guys (Dastrup, Hardnett seem to be shoe ins for quality minutes) this could be a really strong roster. I know Mika loss + a 22 win season that didn't feel great have muted the excitement and expectations for next year.
Not trying to inflate those necessarily, but it feels like a good mix of shooting (Haws, Seljaas, Emery), slashing (Bryant, Hardnett), cutting to basket/rebounding (Childs, Dastrup) on offense. On defense, that's more of a wild card but if the new JUCO guys can stay in front of some people that would help.
If we come in with a healthy roster, I do think this team takes a step forward from last year and at a minimum will be more fun to watch. I think in part b/c of the expectations, in part b/c of the style of play, and in part b/c of the outcome last year may have been the most painful in recent memory.
Expectations are healthier, offensive flow should be better, and a very young roster last year aged up a year with some good pieces coming in (Seljaas and Hardnett most notably) to offset Mika going out. We'll see.
