The question isn't for a 'shoe-in', it's just admission, period.
If you have a 3.95 GPA, you can get in with a 24 ACT, I guarantee at least one student will get in with those grades.
The consensus on this board to 'get in' to BYU is to get scholarship-level grades, which is frankly ludicrous.
I have a friend who got into BYU (in 2011) with a 2.7 GPA. There are no 'rules' when it comes to admission.
