You can stay at the Hilton garden inn Denver tech center. It's $100 this weekend. It's south of downtown, but there are plenty of restaurants etc. down there.

After the game, you head southwest to Union Station (5 or 6 blocks). Get on the E line, which heads south. Your stop would be the Belleview Station. It's quite close to that hotel.
