having all their players available (and whining about it) while RSL gets to keep theirs on the field while the tourney is going on. Should help against SKC as well. The year we had Beltran, Beckerman, Rimando and Sabo out for the Gold Cup was the season that they should have won the Supporter's Shield, but missed out by a couple points based on losing some summer matches while their best players were gone and Portland and the Red Bulls kept their rosters intact and made some runs against depleted teams. We also lost home field against KC in the championship, and the CONCACAF spot to Portland when they changed the rules as to who went based on record. Coupled with the inexplicable loss to DC United in the U.S. Open Cup, and that was a pretty crappy year that only years of Jazz fandom allowed me to survive.
