Sure, I like Big Silk (that's Al's nickname..... no idea where it came from) just because he happens to do the PBP of my alma mater, but he's really not that good.

The hardest part is that he rarely does his job. It's more like listening to a fan-boy yell and scream. It was very hard to know what was going on -for both football and basketball - based on what he was saying. And he gets upset every time a call doesn't go the Aggies way whether it's the right call or not. This just leaves the listener more agitated because it makes you feel like you're getting hosed on more calls than you really are. I realized I got much more upset listening to him than if I were able to watch a game (in person or on TV).

I know it's a low bar, but I'm excited for ScottyG as it seems like a guaranteed upgrade.
