He was big, but he frequently didn't run like a big back. Around the LOS he tended to dance instead of lowering the shoulder. He also lacked break away speed, which is why he had very few long TD runs. That said, he was the best route runner out of the backfield BYU has ever had, he had good agility and feet for a big back, and he punished DBs who tried to tackle him in space.
