I have both. One big difference between the two is the annual fee.
With the CSR's travel credit you're still paying an annual fee. With SW you basically get your annual fee back in SW points so it's like there's no annual fee.

Because if that, you could have the SW card long term and not be "paying" for it. I doubt I'll keep the CSR when I finally use all of my points.

You can cancel and open a SW card every two years. So, just this year we canceled one of my wife's SW cards and got her both SW cards for the 120k and companion pass. In two years, I'll probably do the same for me. Then, two years after that I'll do that for my wife again and keep doing it as long as it lasts.
