We used to do one we called "hot lava" for that age. The kids would line up
on the out of bounds line and the coach throws them the ball. They catch the ball and then immediately throw the ball into the field of play overhead with both feet on the ground and toes inside the line. We would give them a time that we wanted them to be able to all accomplish it in (e.g., all boys get the ball in one at a time going through the line within 10 seconds). We added a small incentive for the boys when they succeeded on their drills.

Then in the games, when they have to take the ball out of bounds, we'd yell, "hot lava!" to get them to get the ball in as fast as they can. We found this to be helpful to try and keep them concentrated on the game (not the birds in the corner of the field or something else at that age) and also getting the ball in fast tended to give them a leg up as the other team was never ready.
