Sorry for commandeering your post, but I wanted to post a sub question regarding kids soccer.

My daughter just started Kindergarten soccer in Murray. Since my 5 year old is my first child, my only memory and experience with Kindergarten soccer is about 24 years ago when I was 5. 

Yesterday was my daughters first practice which will only be 2 days before her first game tomorrow (which seemed odd to me)

Practice was only a half an hour, which aslo seemed extremely short. 

Lastly, her coach said that they will practice once a week.

now I am not expecting 2 a days everyday or anything but I was expecting more practice than just once a week for a half an hour. That seems like very little time to practice even for kindergarteners. 

It seemed like when I was 5 and playing soccer, while it was mostly just fun and games, I recall practicing more than that.
