He probably feel that he do everything he should have and still have not receive permission to play this season, because the HC office is like that. They are "above" your bishop even when you can enter the temple, you still are not honor code worthy.
Therefore, let not judge him, let show our support and let him decide what is best for him. He is young and he deserve that much.
