I dont think Coach Belichick ever coached with, played for Edwards. I do remember him giving his condolences at Coach Edwards passing in an interview and mentioning that what he did for the passing game in College Football impacted the NFL as well. He never mentioned anything about direct influence to his coaching from Edwards though to my knowledge.
