We received 75 applications from all sorts of people, and there were many really good applications from people who we wouldn't have thought of. As mentioned last week, I also asked the moderators to re-apply for their positions. A few of them actually decided to take this opportunity to call it quits as a moderator, and so they didn't re-apply. Being a moderator is a tough job, and I appreciate all of the time they've put in, and the hassle they've put up with, over the years.

Unfortunately, because the response was so great, I won't be able to reply personally to every application. Please know that we appreciate your willingness to help out. If you are one of our finalists, we'll be contacting you by the end of today to arrange an interview. Why the face to face interview? I believe that people work better together when they know each other as people, not just anonymous online handles.

Hopefully, we can get all of that done during this week, and be ready to move forward early next week.
