He said during his recruiting process in high school he had verbally committed to BYU. While on the down low he decided to take a last minute recruiting trip to Oregon. He said he was blown away. He was ready to decommit to BYU and head to Oregon. However in the bowl game that year BYU stomped Oregon and he decided he should keep his commitment and go to BYU.

You could hear the frustration in his voice. Winning takes cares of the recruiting. He said BYU has to turn this around quickly.
