used U-hauls U-box which was enough space for me and my wife's belongings (after selling a bunch of our stuff) Because of when we moved it was about $1500 and took about a week, but if you went that route, you could secure it (assuming it would fit). But the other option is a POD or the uship or upack options. They send you a semi trailer and you pay for each foot you use, they then put a steel wall and you put a lock on it and you open it when it's dropped off at your house. Pretty sweet and convenient deal. A friend used that this summer when graduated med school and moved back to utah for residency, we will definately be doing the same when I graduate med school.
