The CPA in me says yes, your donations to the ward mission fund would be

deductible. The part of me that has never been a ward clerk (knock on wood) is unfamiliar with Church policies for funding a senior mission.

Did I read correctly somewhere that senior missionaries pay the missionary fund, and the church pays for their housing?

No. The meals are not deductible. Only the meals that they provide for others
