That rate of withdrawal is nearly double what the consensus reccomendation
is. That in and of itself is very risky in terms of depleting assets over the years at a fast pace.
This in addition to what others stated:
1. Shouldn't be in all equity assets in retirement
2. You can't time the market.
I would also add that the types of returns people became accustomed to through the 80's,90's are not likely to continue at the same rate going forward.
