Aang's series had a few filler episodes whereas the storytelling in Korra was sharper, especially in S01.
Still had some great comedy, and the stakes, while high, were so personal for Korra. I really thought season 1 was fantastic, perhaps the best season of all the Avatar series. Although season 2 of Aang was top notch. Great show. I wish they hadn't taken Korra the direction they did with her sexuality. It really made no sense.
